Get your skate on.

Ah, who doesn't love little kids flailing about on a thick sheet of ice with metal blades tied tightly to their little feet? Earlier Nick wrote about the dude way to do an Indiana Ice hockey game and now i'm here to tell you about the mom's way to enjoy this annual winter activity.

First of all, if your kid sees it? They're going to want to do it. And once they do it? It's even cooler to do it where the pros did it. (Assuming they don't go around body checking their little sisters.)

Ice Skating at the Pepsi Coliseum is one of the few things to do in Indianapolis where you can can share the same turf (ice?) as one of the many Indianapolis sports teams in the city.

Public skating is available most every day now through April and there are even some days where you can skate with your family and then watch a hockey game later in the evening. Kids want to skate and you want to read a book? Adult chaparones get in free. However if you're into family fun there are weekly specials available to make it an affordable and fun night for the whole family.
