I suppose you might be thinking I have free tickets to give away to the Super Bowl (I wish). While they might not be for the biggest game of the year, it's a good deal for a good cause, nonetheless. Let me break it down mathematical style to illuminate:Indianapolis being a city that cares + a great number of awesome theaters in said city = a fabulous opportunity to expose young people to the arts.
Right now, several of the theaters located in and around downtown Indianapolis are offering youth a chance to see productions for free. Actors Theatre of Indiana, Indianapolis Civic Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, and the Phoenix Theatre have all agreed to balance the equation of introducing youth to performing arts. Tickets are available to those between the ages of 13 and 19. There are a set number of tickets, too so if you're interested, don't delay. Contact one of these theatres today to see which dates/performances have available tickets.
Who knows, you just might have a Shakespeare, a costume designer, a lighting expert, or an avid theatre fan living under your roof who just doesn't know it yet. Add a little something to his or her life with a free ticket and make that equation infinitely better.
