Some guys have all the luck

Another yummy meal at Some Guys.
With only a couple days left in National Pizza Month, it's time to make all those meals count. One of my long time favorites is Some Guys.

Making beautiful pies for more than 20 years at 62nd St. and Allisonville Rd. (and now in Carmel, also, at 125th St. and Gray Rd.) has made them very good at what they do. You can get a wood-fired masterpiece (BBQ chicken, bottom photo), one of their specialties (cajun, third from top) or create your own epic za for which you choose sauce, cheese and toppings. And the options are impressive. How about a pizza with cilantro goat cheese pesto sauce, smoked gouda cheese, shrimp, capacollo, sun-dried tomatoes and pecans?

Speaking of pecans, the bruschetta (second from top) is so good I've had dreams about it. As noted before, I'm not a bleu cheese girl, but their combination of gorgonzola, pecans, crusty garlic bread and blend of tomatoes really rocks me.

Round out the meal with one of their fantastic salads, one of the Logan desserts--I always get butterscotch since you can get chocolate anywhere--and some beer and/or wine! I think I know where I'm stopping on the way home.
